Ozeaon is an early-stage climate-tech startup building a regenerative innovation platform — a single space that connects knowledge, collaboration, opportunities, and funding for ocean, climate, land, and sustainability solutions. In simple terms, it brings together three groups who rarely meet in one place: people who want to learn and act, experts and organizations with real projects, and funders who want to back them.

The platform is built around five capabilities:

• Learn — open educational resources and quizzes, with reward points for learning.
• Create — publishing articles, media, tutorials, projects, open calls, and tasks, plus a way to register ownership of research and creative work on-chain.
• Coordinate — collaboration spaces where communities organize around shared topics and projects.
• Support — funding and backing creators through tips, crowdfunding, subscriptions, and rewards.
• Verify — community-led governance and impact-verification tools that track and independently confirm real-world environmental results.

Ozeaon isn't just another startup idea: it's an officially endorsed UN Ocean Decade Action (10.7) under the ECOP Programme, working alongside partners such as the EU Missions "Restore our Ocean & Waters," EU4Ocean, and Politécnico de Leiria. When the founder came to us, the platform was pre-launch — an ambitious vision with development underway and a first release on the horizon.

Challenge

The founder had a powerful mission and real momentum, but faced a challenge common to ambitious early-stage platforms: to move at the pace the roadmap demanded, the product needed a clearer technical architecture and a single, well-documented source of truth to keep every workstream aligned. Without that foundation, an oversized first release risked slowing progress and pulling the founder's attention away from what mattered most at this stage — raising investment and building strategic partnerships.

In short, Ozeaon needed a partner who could take full ownership of product delivery, so the founder could focus on growing the business.

Solution

We joined Ozeaon as a trusted delivery partner through our Dedicated Team model — and we chose that model deliberately. A dedicated team gave the founder one accountable unit that could span business analysis, project management, design, and blockchain engineering under a single roof, absorb deep product context, and flex as priorities shifted — something a fragmented, task-by-task arrangement couldn't offer at this stage.

We also made a deliberate strategic call to focus on a Phase 0 first, rather than building everything at once. Scoping a focused, achievable first phase let us de-risk the architecture early, reach a tangible milestone fast, and turn an ambitious vision into measurable progress — while freeing the founder to concentrate on investors and partnerships.
